The youth sports tournament industry is booming and even has its own vocabulary, including the term “tourna-cation” in which student-athletes’ tournaments are expanded into full family vacations. With the goals of creating world-class experiences for families, becoming an attractive “tourna-cation” destination, and bolstering year-round tourism in Sandusky, Ohio, Cedar Point Park spearheaded development of Sports Force Parks and Cedar Point Sports Center. Both facilities are within a few miles of Cedar Point and its numerous hotels.
